Simply having a garden is valuable. It gives you a perfect space for leisure, relaxation and enjoyable times with your friends and family. However, it seems that all backyards look the same and that everyone just does the same thing with that space over and over again.

Therefore, if you want to do something special, you need to get some cool ideas and make them happen in your garden. Here are five pretty cool ideas you can use to make your garden stand out from everyone else.

Playground

Of course, everyone can get some of these plastic toys and throw them around the garden, making it easy for kids to play. But the actual playground really takes a little work and time and it is simply perfect for children. You need a serious sand pit, all dug up, with concrete walls and sand in it. You will need trails and an artificial creek with a small bridge on it.

You will need tree houses and saws, not to mention the swings and a small pond where the streams end. If you haven't, you can hardly find a place to let paper boats float. It seems like an overwhelming task, but it is actually quite doable and the instructions are easy to find online.

hammocks

This is the perfect for a garden of a person who loves to spend time relaxing with friends. All the sitting arrangements with plastic chairs and tables are so boring and they are everywhere. If you want something like that, you can go to a cafe.

But if you want something more fun and different, you need a system of wooden or strong metal pillars that are strong enough to hold many hammocks hanging on them, filled with pillows and a temporary blankie.

Secluded tea party

You need a bit of a green thumb for this and a taste for romantic scenery and occasions. You need to make a maze plan that you will make using a little thick bush. It will need a lot of maintenance but it is worth it. In the middle of it you need some wonderful blister plants for a cover or a wooden frame that will be used to let some interesting crawlers grow on it. At the heart of it, you need some beautiful, vintage, preferably iron chairs and tables.

Backyard Bar

Especially if the climate allows you to do such a thing, you should go and try to make the tropical bar in your garden. You need water and piping done by a professional, but you can do all other things on your own. Wooden platform with pillars, covered with sugar cane roof and a bar in it is just perfect. You can use the wooden pallets to make the furniture and stay in style. A couple of colorful pillows on them will make the whole thing absolutely amazing.

DIY sky

If you're one of those people who just loves to do something with their hands, it's a really cool idea to make that backyard your DIY heaven. This does not mean that you need to throw all your tools everywhere, but you can make it much easier and much better to organize them, store them and still have the chance to work in the fresh air and under the sun.

The key to this is the use of one of these shipping containers. One of the benefits is that you can remove the walls in that case and reattach them. In other words, choose a wall that should be solid and not moving. Fill it with shelves and drawers and store your power tools and whatever for your DIY projects. The other walls should be free, as you can turn that storage unit into a semi-open space for DIY projects and then wrap it in a large box, preferably painted into something interesting, when you're done.

With these ideas you will never get tired of your garden and you will be able to tailor it to your needs and desires, making it your own piece of relaxing heaven.
